Job summary

Select Medical's Select Specialty Hospital- Springfield is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for PRN night shifts. Compensation is $45 per hour with a $7,500 sign-on bonus.

Expect a strong orientation, flexible scheduling with a minimum of 4 shifts in 6 weeks, and opportunities for advancement within a nationwide team. Responsibilities include admissions/transfers, patient assessments, accurate documentation, telemetry interpretation, and participating in rapid response events, with emphasis on

Qualifications

• Valid State RN license required.
• BLS certification required at hire.
• ACLS certification required at hire.

Responsibilities

• Receive admissions and/or transfers to the unit.
• Initial and ongoing systematic patient assessment.
• Timely and accurate documentation using appropriate systems.
• Interpret assessment/diagnostic data including labs and telemetry.
• Ensure medical orders are transcribed and processed accurately.
• Competence in Rapid Response and code events.
• Instruct and counsel patients/families.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
