Fairfield Memorial Hospital is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse for our Med/Surg team in Fairfield, IL. The RN will provide direct patient care, support family education, and collaborate with physicians to ensure safe, high-quality care across the lifespan.

The role requires an ADN, Illinois RN license, and BLS/ACLS/PALS; BSN is preferred. Night shift from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am with shift differential. FMH offers strong benefits and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Required: ADN from an accredited nursing program; Illinois RN license; BLS/ACLS/PALS (or willing to obtain within 6 months).
• Preferred: BSN; TNCC certification.
• Experience in Med/Surg or ICU preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, direct patient care using the nursing process and charting.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Assist with patient education for patients and families.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team for coordinated care.

This role plays a vital part in delivering safe, high‐quality, patient‐centered care across the lifespan. Med/Surg nurses at FMH provide direct patient care, support patient and family education, and collaborate closely with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated, effective care. The RN is responsible for the delivery of patient care through the nursing process. This includes patient assessment, teaching, and coordination of care with ancillary personnel, while maintaining the highest standards of practice.
