Job summary

Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation in Chester, NJ is seeking a Registered Nurse for per diem day or night shifts. You will provide patient care on an inpatient rehabilitation unit, collaborate with a Nursing Assistant, and handle admissions, assessments, and timely documentation using EPIC.

Minimum requirements include a valid RN license in New Jersey, BLS at hire, and at least one year of acute care or rehab experience. BSN preferred; mileage reimbursement and shift differential are offered.

Qualifications

• BLS required at hire.
• Minimum of 1 year as a full-time RN in an acute care, med/surg, acute medical rehabilitation or related hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Receiving admissions and/or transfers.
• Initial and ongoing systematic patient assessment.
• Timely and accurate documentation using EPIC.
• Interpreting assessment/diagnostic data, including labs and telemetry.
• Ensuring medical orders are transcribed and processed accurately.
• Promoting continuous quality improvement.
• Instructing and counseling patients/families.

Position: Registered Nurse (RN)

Location: 201 Pleasant Hill Rd, Chester NJ 07930 (Morris County)

Schedule: Per Diem (PRN), Days 7AM-7:30PM OR Nights 7PM-7:30AM (Includes Weekday & Weekend Shifts)

Compensation: $54.00/Hour +Shift Differential

On each shift, you will partner with a Nursing Assistant and handle a manageable case load. Together, you will help our patients achieve the outlined goals and milestones based on their unique patient care plan.
