Job summary

PAM Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Fargo is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide and supervise nursing care on the unit under leadership of the CNO/Director of Nursing. The role includes patient care, discharge planning, and teaching to patients and families following hospitalization, with ACLS requirements for Charge Nurses.

Ideal candidates hold RN licensure in-state or via compact licensure and current BLS; ACLS is required within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Licensed RN in the state where the hospital resides or compact licensure.
• BLS certification is required.
• ACLS certification is required within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer/Director of Nursing, Nurse Manager or Charge Nurse, the Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for utilizing the nursing process while delivering, directing and supervising care to patients admitted to the nursing unit. The Registered Nurse plans, coordinates, and provides patient care to include interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, patient and family teaching for post-hospitalization, and accessing community resources. May perform other related duties as assigned or requested, including Charge Nurse (ACLS certification required).

Education and Training:

Holds a current licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if state participates. Current BLS certification is required. Evidence of ACLS certification is required within 90 days of employment. BLS and ACLS certifications must be AHA approved within 90 days of employment. Current ACLS certification is required for Charge Nurses.

Experience:

One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required.
