PAM Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Georgetown is seeking an Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver, direct, and supervise patient care on the nursing unit. The role includes discharge planning, patient and family teaching for post-hospital care, and coordinating with community resources.

Requirements include an active RN license in the state or a compact license, current BLS certification, and ACLS within 90 days (ACLS required for Charge Nurses).

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state where the hospital resides or compact licensure.
• BLS certification is required.
• ACLS certification within 90 days of employment; ACLS must be AHA approved if required for Charge Nurses.

Responsibilities

• Deliver, direct, and supervise nursing care for patients on the unit.
• Plan and coordinate patient care, including discharge planning.
• Provide patient and family teaching for post-hospital care; coordinate with community resources.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team; participate in care planning and education.
• Charge Nurse duties may be required; ACLS certification required for this role.

Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer/Director of Nursing, Nurse Manager or Charge Nurse, the Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for utilizing the nursing process while delivering, directing and supervising care to patients admitted to the nursing unit. The Registered Nurse plans, coordinates, and provides patient care to include interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, patient and family teaching for post-hospitalization, and accessing community resources. May perform other related duties as assigned or requested, including Charge Nurse (ACLS certification required).

Education and Training:

Holds a current licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if state participates. Current BLS certification is required. Evidence of ACLS certification is required within 90 days of employment. BLS and ACLS certifications must be AHA approved within 90 days of employment. Current ACLS certification is required for Charge Nurses.

Experience:

One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required.
