Job summary

PAM Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Fargo is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver, direct and supervise patient care on our nursing unit. You will coordinate interdisciplinary care, participate in discharge planning, and educate patients and families for post-hospital needs.

Requirements include an active RN license in North Dakota (or compact license), BLS, and ACLS within 90 days. ACLS is required for Charge Nurse duties.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current RN license in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• ACLS certification required within 90 days of employment.
• ACLS certification required for Charge Nurses.

Responsibilities

• Deliver, direct and supervise care to patients admitted to the unit.
• Plan, coordinate and provide patient care including discharge planning and patient/family teaching for post-hospitalization.
• May perform other related duties as assigned, including Charge Nurse duties.

Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer/Director of Nursing, Nurse Manager or Charge Nurse, the Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for utilizing the nursing process while delivering, directing and supervising care to patients admitted to the nursing unit. The Registered Nurse plans, coordinates, and provides patient care to include interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, patient and family teaching for post-hospitalization, and accessing community resources. May perform other related duties as assigned or requested, including Charge Nurse (ACLS certification required).

Education and Training:

Holds a current licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if state participates. Current BLS certification is required. Evidence of ACLS certification is required within 90 days of employment. BLS and ACLS certifications must be AHA approved within 90 days of employment. Current ACLS certification is required for Charge Nurses.

Experience:

One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required.
