Job summary

PAM Health's hospital seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver and supervise patient care using the nursing process. You will participate in interdisciplinary planning and discharge planning, and provide patient and family teaching for post-hospital care.

Requires current RN licensure in the state or compact licensure, BLS certification, and ACLS certification within 90 days. ACLS is required for Charge Nurses; one year of inpatient medical-surgical experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if state participates.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• Evidence of ACLS certification is required within 90 days of employment.
• BLS and ACLS certifications must be AHA approved within 90 days of employment.
• Current ACLS certification is required for Charge Nurses.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to deliver, direct and supervise care to patients admitted to the unit.
• Plans, coordinates, and provides patient care including interdisciplinary planning and discharge planning.
• Provides patient and family teaching for post-hospitalization and access to community resources.
• May perform other related duties as assigned, including Charge Nurse.

Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer/Director of Nursing, Nurse Manager or Charge Nurse, the Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for utilizing the nursing process while delivering, directing and supervising care to patients admitted to the nursing unit. The Registered Nurse plans, coordinates, and provides patient care to include interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, patient and family teaching for post-hospitalization, and accessing community resources. May perform other related duties as assigned or requested, including Charge Nurse (ACLS certification required).

Education and Training:

Holds a current licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if state participates. Current BLS certification is required. Experience:
