Job summary

PAM Health Specialty Hospital of Denver is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver, direct and supervise patient care on the medical-surgical unit under the guidance of the nursing leadership.

You will plan, coordinate and provide care, educate patients and families for post-hospital needs, assist with discharge planning, and may serve as Charge Nurse; ACLS certification is required (BLS is required on hire).

Qualifications

• Holds RN licensure in the state; compact licensure accepted where applicable.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• ACLS certification required within 90 days of employment.
• ACLS certification required for Charge Nurses.
• One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide, direct and supervise patient care on the unit.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary planning and discharge planning.
• Educate patients and families for post-hospital care and community resources.

Hourly Rate Range- $56-$58

Earn up to an additional $7/hr with shift differentials!

Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer/Director of Nursing, Nurse Manager or Charge Nurse, the Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for utilizing the nursing process while delivering, directing and supervising care to patients admitted to the nursing unit. The Registered Nurse plans, coordinates, and provides patient care to include interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, patient and family teaching for post-hospitalization, and accessing community resources. May perform other related duties as assigned or requested, including Charge Nurse (ACLS certification required).

Education and Training:

Holds a current licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if state participates. Current BLS certification is required. Evidence of ACLS certification is required within 90 days of employment. BLS and ACLS certifications must be AHA approved within 90 days of employment. Current ACLS certification is required for Charge Nurses.

Experience:

One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required.
