Job summary

PAM Health Specialty Hospital of Tulsa is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver and supervise patient care on the medical-surgical unit under nursing leadership. You will plan, coordinate, and provide patient care, including discharge planning and patient/family teaching for post-hospital care.

Holds an active RN license (state or compact) with current BLS; ACLS certification is required within 90 days. ACLS is also required for Charge Nurses. Inpatient experience preferred.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in the state or compact licensure.
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS certification required within 90 days.
• ACLS and BLS certifications must be AHA approved within 90 days of employment.
• Charge Nurses require ACLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Deliver, direct and supervise patient care using the nursing process.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary planning and discharge planning.
• Provide patient and family teaching for post-hospitalization and connect to community resources.

Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer/Director of Nursing, Nurse Manager or Charge Nurse, the Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for utilizing the nursing process while delivering, directing and supervising care to patients admitted to the nursing unit. The Registered Nurse plans, coordinates, and provides patient care to include interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, patient and family teaching for post-hospitalization, and accessing community resources. May perform other related duties as assigned or requested, including Charge Nurse (ACLS certification required).

Education and Training:

Holds a current licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if state participates. Current BLS certification is required. Evidence of ACLS certification is required within 90 days of employment. BLS and ACLS certifications must be AHA approved within 90 days of employment. Current ACLS certification is required for Charge Nurses.

Experience:

One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required.
