Job summary

Premise Health is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse (RN) to provide patient care at our Bend, OR Health Center. The role focuses on evaluating patient needs, administering care, and maintaining records in a busy clinical setting.

Qualifications include an accredited Nursing School certificate or ASN, plus licensure to practice in Oregon, with BSN preferred. BLS is required, and ACLS may be required depending on contract scope. PRN shifts vary by schedule.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in state of practice is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or equivalent; ACLS may be required per contract scope.
• Minimum three years of RN experience in emergency, occupational health, or ambulatory care settings.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient care needs and perform nursing evaluations within scope of practice.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams for further evaluation and care.
• Perform and document tests and treatments (EKG, audiometry, spirometry, vision) as contractually defined.
• Administer medications and provide emergency care within legal scope.
• Maintain equipment and ensure infection control and patient safety in the center.
• Maintain accurate patient health records and perform follow-up education.
• Support health promotion and preventive care initiatives for employees and dependents.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Do

• Assesses patient care needs, conducts nursing evaluations, and provides treatment within scope of practice
• Collaborates with physicians and other healthcare practitioners for further medical evaluation and care as needed
• Performs and documents medical tests, screenings, and treatments as defined in site contract (EKG, audiometry, spirometry, vision)
• Administers medications and emergency care within legal scope of practice
• Maintains medical equipment, ensures a clean and safe environment, and follows infection control procedures
• Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
• Educates patients on health promotion and participates in follow-up care
• Performs other duties as assigned

Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities

What You’ll Bring

• Certificate from an accredited Nursing School or associate degree (A.S.) is required; Bachelor's degree (BSN) from four-year college or university is preferred
• Currently licensed Registered Nurse in state of practice required
• Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required based on contract scope of services
• Certification in Occupational Health Nursing (COHN/COHN-S), Emergency Nursing, or Case Management preferred and may be required for some sites
• At least three years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an emergency room, occupational health clinic or other ambulatory care clinic
