Job summary

BrightStar Care is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide private duty nursing for a 3-year-old child with congenital myasthenia gravis in the Belleview/Ocala area. The child requires tracheostomy and G-tube care and close clinical monitoring.

You will deliver 1:1 home care, administer medications, manage G-tube feeds, monitor the tracheostomy, and document meticulously while following the care plan with professional judgement.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted RN license in FL or compact state.
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience.
• Pediatric/home health/private duty/long-term care experience preferred.
• Experience with tracheostomy and G-tube care preferred.
• Reliable transportation and current auto insurance.
• Able to pass background screening.
• Strong critical thinking, assessment, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized 1:1 nursing care in the patient’s home.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered.
• Perform G-tube feedings, care, and management.
• Provide tracheostomy care and monitoring.
• Assess patient condition and respond to changes.
• Implement the plan of care using sound clinical judgment.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and detailed documentation.
• Follow BrightStar Care policies, procedures, and clinical protocols.
• Adhere to HIPAA requirements and maintain patient confidentiality.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.

We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide private duty nursing care for a 3-year-old child diagnosed with Congenital Myasthenia Gravis in the southeastern Ocala area. The patient has a tracheostomy and G-tube, requiring skilled nursing support and close monitoring.

Available Shifts

• Friday Nights: 4:00 PM - 8:00 AM
• Saturday Days: 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM
• Saturday Nights: 8:00 PM - 8:00 AM

Responsibilities

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, squat, reach, push, pull, and twist as needed
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Visual and hearing acuity required to safely perform nursing duties
