Job summary

Christiana Care Health Services, Inc. is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Post Partum Full Time team in Newark, DE. This role involves 12-hour night shifts with a commitment on weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

Job Details Registered Nurse (RN) - Post Partum Full Time | 12-hour Shifts Night Shift (Hours: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) Weekend & Holiday commitment Newark, DE

The ChristianaCare Postpartum Unit (6M/7M) is a 72-bed inpatient unit that cares for postpartum patients and their stable newborns in the Women’s and Children’s Building on the Newark campus.

The average length of stay is 2-3 days post birth and the unit supports rooming in and family centered care.

A couplet care model is utilized so that an RN will be assigned both the delivered parent as well as the newborn as a portion of their overall assignment.

A nursery is maintained primarily for emergency management or for short term convalescent care.

Postpartum staff also support the care of newborns in our substance withdrawal program.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• BSN required or commitment to obtaining BSN within three years of date of hire


• Experience in women’s & children’s services preferred


• Two years of Acute Care experience strongly preferred


• Delaware RN licensure or eligibility for licensure in the state of Delaware


• BLS certification required


• NRP preferred or must be obtained upon hire

Hourly Pay Range: $42.11 - $67.37 This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
