Job summary

ChristianaCare is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Pediatric Care Center, located within the Women’s & Children’s building on our Newark Campus.

The Pediatric Care Center cares for birth to 17 years old with conditions ranging from RSV to asthma and injuries. This part-time RN role offers night shifts (7:00 PM–7:00 AM) with weekend and holiday commitments in a collaborative, family-centered team.

Qualifications

• BSN is required or you must commit to obtaining BSN within three years of hire.
• Two years of acute care RN experience strongly preferred.
• Pediatric, pediatric emergency, emergency department or critical care experience strongly preferred.
• Delaware RN licensure or eligibility for licensure in the state of Delaware.
• BLS Certification required; ACLS & PALS certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Care for patients from birth through age 17 in the Pediatric Care Center.
• Provide high-quality, family-centered nursing care in a collaborative team.
• Monitor patients, administer medications, and coordinate with care teams.
• Support weekend and holiday coverage per department guidelines.

ChristianaCare is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Pediatric Care Center, located within the Women’s & Children’s building on our Newark Campus.

Our Pediatric Care Center features 14 beds and provides a unique blend of emergency and general pediatric acute care. As a Pediatric Care Center RN, you will care for patients from birth through age 17 with a wide range of conditions, including RSV, sepsis, asthma, fractures, gastrointestinal illnesses, head and body injuries, high fevers, infections, abdominal pain, and more.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to expand your pediatric nursing skills while working in a collaborative, team‑focused environment dedicated to delivering high-quality, family-centered care.

Hourly Pay Range:

$42.11 - $67.37This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
