RWJBarnabas Health in Jersey City Medical Center is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Post Anesthesia Care Unit on a per diem day basis. You will perform patient assessments, administer medications, support physicians, document in EPIC, and participate in interdisciplinary rounds to ensure safe, coordinated care.

The role requires an active New Jersey RN license, BLS and ACLS, Basic Dysrhythmia, a BSN or active enrollment in a BSN program, and at least 2 years in PACU/ICU.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN license in good standing.
• American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Basic Dysrhythmia course and ACLS required.
• BSN degree or actively enrolled in BSN program with expected completion date.
• Minimum 2 years of PACU/ICU or Surgical ICU RN experience.
• Experience with EPIC EMR system.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize clinical changes.
• Administer medications and provide hands-on care.
• Collaborate with physicians and advanced providers for timely decisions.

To be considered for this RN opportunity, you must hold an active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing and a current American Heart Association BLS certification Successful completion of Basic Dysrhythmia course and ACLS required. A bachelor's degree in nursing is required or actively enrolled in a BSN program with expected completion date. Minimum 2 years of PACU, ICU or Surgical ICU RN experience. Comfortable with electronic medical record systems (EMR) like EPIC. This is a per diem day shift. Must be able to work every other weekend. Scheduled as needed with a minimum requirement of 3 shifts a month and will need to work 1 winter and 1 summer holiday allowing you to build strong patient relationships while maintaining balance.
