Job summary

Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove, IL is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) – PACU to join a fast-paced Level I trauma center with 18 recovery bays. Typical shifts are 3-4 call shifts per week, with start times 2230–0700, and no weekends or holidays required.

The RN will provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process, using evidence-based practice to ensure the safest environment and best patient experience across the continuum.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• RN license valid in Illinois.
• BLS certification for Healthcare Providers (American Heart Association).
• ACLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate patient care in PACU using nursing process.
• Ensure safe patient environment and high-quality care after surgery.

We’re Looking For:

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
• ACLS

• As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
• Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
