Job summary

Advocate Health in Downers Grove, IL, seeks a Registered Nurse for the PACU in a busy Level 1 trauma center. The role involves night call coverage Sunday through Friday, with 3-4 shifts per week and 6-8 shifts in a two-week cycle. Start time is 2230 and shift ends at 0700; weekends and holidays are not required.

The RN will provide and coordinate care, uphold evidence-based nursing practice, and contribute to a safe, compassionate patient experience in the PACU setting.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing.
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• ACLS certification

• Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care.

• As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.


• Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
