Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital in Wheeling, located inside Wheeling Hospital, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for per diem night shifts. The role offers $46.00 per hour with competitive night/weekend differentials and a $5,000 sign-on bonus.

The facility specializes in critical illness recovery with strong orientation and growth opportunities for nurses. The RN will perform admissions, ongoing patient assessments, documentation, telemetry interpretation, and ensure accurate order processing.

Qualifications

• Valid State RN License.
• BLS is required at hire.
• ACLS is required at hire.

Responsibilities

• Receive admissions and/or transfers to the unit.
• Initial and ongoing systematic patient assessment.
• Timely and accurate documentation using appropriate systems.
• Interpret assessment/diagnostic data including labs and telemetry.
• Ensure medical orders are transcribed and processed accurately.
• Competence in Rapid Response and code events.
• Instruct and counsel patients/families.

Schedule: Per Diem/ PRN, 6pm - 6:30am, Night ShiftCompensation: $46.00 per hour, plus competitive shift differentials for nights and weekends
