Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital in Charleston, WV is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for per diem night shifts. You will participate in admissions/ transfers, conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments, and document findings with appropriate systems.

Flexibility in schedule is required while maintaining patient care excellence. The role emphasizes rapid response readiness, accurate transcription of orders, and patient/family education, within a collaborative inpatient post-ICU setting.

Qualifications

• Valid State RN License.
• BLS certification required at hire.
• ACLS certification required at hire.
• Clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive admissions and/or transfers to the unit
• Initial and ongoing systematic patient assessment
• Timely and accurate documentation using appropriate systems
• Interpret assessment/diagnostic data including labs and telemetry
• Ensure medical orders are transcribed and processed accurately
• Competence in Rapid Response and code events
• Instruct and counsel patients/families
• Performs other duties as assigned

Compensation: $47.00 per hour, plus shift differentials for nights and weekends
