Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital in Wheeling, WV is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a full-time, day shift. Compensation ranges from $33.43 to $45.00 per hour, with shift differentials for nights and weekends and a $10,000 sign-on bonus.

The RN will participate in patient assessment, documentation, rapid response and code events, and collaborate with the care team to support post-ICU recovery care. A comprehensive orientation and ongoing education opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Valid State Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• BLS certification required at hire.
• ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Admissions and/or transfers to the unit.
• Timely and accurate patient assessment.
• Documentation using appropriate systems.
• Interpretation of labs and telemetry data.
• Ensure medical orders are transcribed and processed correctly.
• Competence in rapid response and code events.
• Instruct and counsel patients and families.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
