Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital in Charleston is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for per diem night shifts. You will manage admissions/transfers, perform initial and ongoing assessments, and document findings with accuracy in our post-ICU care setting.

You'll interpret labs and telemetry, transcribe orders, and respond to rapid-response events. Ideal candidates have an RN license, BLS and ACLS, with clinical experience preferred, and opportunities for advancement within a nationwide team.

Qualifications

• Valid State RN License.
• BLS is required at hire.
• ACLS is required at hire.
• Preferred: Clinical experience.

Responsibilities

• Receive admissions and transfers to the unit.
• Initial and ongoing patient assessment.
• Timely and accurate documentation using appropriate systems.
• Interpret assessment/diagnostic data including labs and telemetry.
• Ensure medical orders are transcribed and processed accurately.
• Competence in Rapid Response and code events.
• Instruct and counsel patients/families.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Schedule: Per Diem, Nights

Compensation: $47.00 per hour, plus shift differentials for nights and weekends
