Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital in Pontiac is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide compassionate, high-quality inpatient post-ICU care for chronically ill patients. The role emphasizes thorough patient assessment, accurate documentation, and rapid response readiness in a supportive team setting.

Qualifications

• Valid State RN license.
• BLS at hire.
• ACLS at hire.
• Preferred clinical experience.

Responsibilities

• Receive admissions and/or transfers to the unit
• Initial and ongoing systematic patient assessment
• Timely and accurate documentation using appropriate systems
• Interpret assessment/diagnostic data including labs and telemetry
• Ensure medical orders are transcribed and processed accurately
• Competence in Rapid Response and code events
• Instruct and counsel patients/families
• Performs other duties as assigned
