Job summary

Community Medical Center in Missoula, MT seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Pediatrics unit. The role involves 12-hour shifts, with a mix of sedation and pediatric floor duties, and three 12-hour shifts weekly with every 3rd weekend.

Required: active RN license, Associate's degree, BLS, PALS within 6 months, and 3+ years in Pediatric Sedation/PICU. Competitive benefits and growth opportunities available.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate pediatric care from admission to discharge or transfer.
  • Provide expert care and education to pediatric patients and act as patient advocate, leader and mentor for assistive personnel.
  • Manage patient loads within assigned timelines and ensure safe, effective护理.

Registered Nurse (RN) Pediatrics

Status/FTE: FT / 1.0 FTE (0.6 FTE Sedation, 0.4 FTE Pediatric Floor)

Shift length: 12 hours

Start Time: 0700

Unit: Pediatrics

Schedule Requirements (including weekends, holidays): Three (3)-12hr shifts per week, every 3rd weekend

Required qualifications:

  • Current state RN license
  • Associate's degree from an accredited nursing school
  • BLS for Healthcare Provider upon hire
  • PALS within six (6) months of hire
  • Minimum of 3 years of Pediatric Sedation and PICU experience required

Preferred qualifications:

  • BSN
  • Pediatric certification

Additional Information/Department information: The RN utilizes nursing process in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care of pediatric patients from admission to department through discharge or transfer. Provides expert care and education to patients in clinical setting, acts as patient advocate, leader, and mentor for assistive personnel. Knowledgeable in clinical nursing procedures, disease processes, interventions, and pharmacological agents. Manages patient loads in assigned timelines.
