Job summary

Haywood Regional Medical Center in North Carolina is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for our 22-bed Progressive Care Unit (PCU)/Telemetry. The night shift (7p-7a) offers 3x12s with weekends and holidays required.

Join a team that uses advanced cardiac monitoring to deliver high-quality patient care to respiratory and cardiac patients. We offer a $10,000 sign-on bonus for new grad RNs and $20,000 for night-shift experienced RNs with a 2-year commitment.

Qualifications

• Active North Carolina or compact state RN license required; if relocating, licensure must be updated to the new Primary State of Residence (PSOR) before employment begins.
• Associate’s degree required; BSN preferred.
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
• AHA ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire.
• One year of experience preferred
• Requires critical thinking, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a stressful environment.

• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient
• Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient
• Performs timely and accurate QI assessments

Join our team in a 22-bed Progressive Care Unit (PCU)/Telemetry unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5. We are staffed with Registered Nurse (RN), CNAs, Telemetry Techs, and unit secretaries, providing specialized care for patients primarily diagnosed with respiratory failure and cardiac conditions. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, utilizing advanced cardiac monitoring technology to deliver high-quality patient care and ensure optimal outcomes for our diverse patient population.
