The Overflow Unit patient population consists of those with a variety of diagnoses: med/surg/telemetry, pulmonary, diabetes, renal, hypertension.

The Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Supervisor serves as a front line leader who is accountable for delivering highly reliable results related to quality and best practices to improve the clinical operations of the unit. Embraces, uses and understands the research behind nursing practice and quality tools. Supports unit based shared governance and decentralized decision making structures and processes. Acts as a role model who leads by example in delivering "Service Always" and in making patient experience a priority on units of responsibility. Experience: At least one year of Registered Nurse Clinical experience;
Education: BSN; open to Associate Degree RNs but must be within one year of completing their BSN.
Certification: BLS by American Heart Association required. Completion of a revised Charge Nurse and RN Unit Supervisor workshop within the first 90 days of employment.
Prefer more than 2 years of Registered Nurse Clinical Experience specific to the focus of nursing unit.
