Job summary

Surgery Partners Brand is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a PRN PACU position in a fast-paced outpatient surgery center. You will monitor patients, administer medications, educate families, and manage post-operative care in a supportive team environment.

Requirements include RN license and BLS/ACLS; PALS preferred. Minimum one year PACU or critical care experience is expected. Benefits include comprehensive health plans and retirement options.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing; current RN License.
• BLS and ACLS required.
• PALS preferred.
• Minimum of one year experience in PACU or critical care equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Oversee vital signs, change dressings, and administer medications.
• Educate families and patients about homecare instructions.
• Monitor respiratory stability and cardiac status.
• Assess patient condition post-surgery and record vitals.
• Document findings in the patient chart clearly.
• Develop individualized care plans based on patient status.
• Report changes to the healthcare team promptly.
• Respond to post-operative emergencies as needed.
• Record sedation levels and body temperatures.
• Maintain a clean and sanitized post-operative space.
• Perform other duties as requested by supervisors.

JOB TITLE: Registered Nurse / RN (PRN)

SHIFT:

Monday-Friday. Variable day shift with assigned late days. No holidays, nights or call.

Looking for a PRN PACU nurse for a fast-paced outpatient surgery center.

• PACU nurses are responsible for overseeing vital signs, changing bandages, and administering necessary medications
• Educating families and patients about homecare instructions
• Manage respiratory instability and cardiac monitoring activities
• Assess patient’s condition after surgery is performed; ensure that all vital signs are within range
• Accurately and completely record all findings in patient’s chart
• The Registered Nurse will develop individualized care plans based on patient’s condition
• Monitors patient’s condition changes and reports changes to healthcare team
• Perform intervention duties in the case of post-operative emergencies
• Record sedation levels and body temperatures
• PACU RN will Ensure the post-operative space is clean and sanitized
• The PACU RN will Perform other duties as requested
