Surgery Partners, Inc. is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse (RN) for our fast-paced outpatient surgery center’s PACU. You will oversee vital signs, administer medications, and manage post-operative recovery in a dynamic team setting.

Responsibilities include educating families, updating charts, and initiating individualized care plans while monitoring for stability and communicating changes to the medical team. Prior PACU/critical care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• RN license required.
• BLS and ACLS required.
• PALS preferred.
• Minimum 1 year PACU or critical care experience.

JOB TITLE

Looking for a PRN PACU nurse for a fast-paced outpatient surgery center.

• PACU nurses are responsible for overseeing vital signs, changing bandages, and administering necessary medications
• Educating families and patients about homecare instructions
• Manage respiratory instability and cardiac monitoring activities
• Assess patient’s condition after surgery is performed; ensure that all vital signs are within range
• Accurately and completely record all findings in patient’s chart
• The Registered Nurse will develop individualized care plans based on patient’s condition
• Monitors patient’s condition changes and reports changes to healthcare team
• Perform intervention duties in the case of post-operative emergencies
• Record sedation levels and body temperatures
• PACU RN will Ensure the post-operative space is clean and sanitized
• The PACU RN will Perform other duties as requested

Requirements

• Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing; current RN License.
• BLS and ACLS required.
• PALS preferred.
• Must have a minimum of one year experience in PACU or critical care equivalent area
