Job summary

MedStar Health is seeking experienced PACU RNs to join our Post Anesthesia Care Unit team. This role supports Phase I PACU care on the 1st floor with a variety of postoperative patients across multiple specialties, in a collaborative, upbeat environment.

Two or more years in PACU preferred, with MD RN license and BLS required. ACLS/PALS are preferred or to be completed within six months after hire. Relocation assistance and generous referral bonuses are available.

Qualifications

• ADN, BSN, MSN, or CNL from an accredited School of Nursing is required.
• 1 year of RN experience required. For the full-time role, 2+ years of PACU RN experience strongly preferred. Experience with vents a plus.
• Active MD RN License or Active Compact State RN and Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers required (AHA or American Red Cross). ACLS, PALS preferred or PALS within 6 months after hire.

• Variety of Post-Op patients (Ortho & neuro surgery, OB/GYN, Plastics, GenderAff, Robotics, everything except open heart and transplant cases)
• Excellent teamwork and fun environment
• Lower turnover
• Part of our state-of-the-art surgical pavilion, which opened in 8/2020
• Lower call frequency
• Ability to be cross-trained to PreOp

• 4 shifts in 6 weeks, two weekend or nights shifts in 6 weeks, 1 holiday or hard-to-fill shift annually

This position has a hiring range of

USD $36.50 - USD $60.34 /Hr.
