Tenet Healthcare's Doctors Medical Center of Modesto is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct postoperative care across pediatric to geriatric patients in the PACU. You will monitor patients, respond to changes in condition, and coordinate with surgeons and anesthesiologists.

Qualifications

• 1+ year recent acute care experience in PACU or ICU.
• ACLS and PALS certification required.

• Monitor vitals and patient status in the immediate postoperative period.
• Communicate with surgical team and anesthesia regarding patient conditions.

Reporting to the Patient Care Services Director/Shift Manager/Designee, the Registered Nurse provides direct patient care to pediatric through geriatric patient populations. Addresses the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care related to the surgical environment. Responsible for monitoring the patient’s physiological status in the immediate postoperative period; communicates with the surgeon and anesthesiologist about patient conditions and receives direction for patient management; intercedes to maintain optimum homeostasis.

Minimum Education

Minimum 1+ years recent (within 6 months) acute care experience in PACU or ICU

License/Certificates/Credentials

Current: CA RN licensure, ACLS, PALS. TCAR required within 12 months of hire/transfer. For current employees/transfers who have TNCC, TCAR must be obtained by October 1, 2019.
