Job summary

Harris Regional Hospital in North Carolina is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Outpatient Services. This full-time day position offers a $10,000 sign-on for new grads and $15,000 for experienced RNs with a 2-year commitment, plus 10–hour or 8-hour shift options and possible call.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough patient assessments and identify needs.
• Initiate appropriate nursing interventions.
• Deliver age-appropriate, condition-specific care.
• Document medical necessity accurately in the chart.
• Develop and revise the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
• Complete timely QA assessments.

Schedule: 10hr shifts Monday-Thursday or 8hr shifts Monday-Friday. Call may be included.

With dedicated Surgeons, Nurses and Surgical Technologists, you will gain experience in areas such as General Surgery, OB/GYN, Ortho/Sports Medicine, ENT, Cataracts, Pain, Podiatry, Urology, Bronchoscopies, Endoscopy, Dental Extractions and Peds Dental Restorations. Also included in our services is Outpatient Infusion and Pre-anesthesia Testing.

How you'll contribute

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient
• Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient
• Performs timely and accurate QI assessments

What we're looking for

Licenses: Active North Carolina or compact state RN license required. If relocating, licensure must be updated to the new Primary State of Residence (PSOR) before employment begins.

Associate's degree required, BSN preferred.

American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.

AHA ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire.

One year of experience preferred

Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
