Job summary

Shriners Children's Chicago is seeking a part-time registered nurse (RN) to join our Outpatient Clinic team. This 20-hour-per-week role focuses on delivering family-centered care across service lines in a multidisciplinary setting.

The ideal candidate holds a BSN (or is in progress), is licensed in Illinois, and has BLS certification. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus, and two years of acute-care experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• RN licensed in Illinois.
• BLS certification required or in progress.

Responsibilities

• The Pediatric RN works as part of the Outpatient Clinic team to provide care to patients across all service lines.
• You’ll be responsible and accountable for the care provided to patients in the clinic during each shift.
• You’ll utilize the nursing process to assess patients, plan care, interventions and evaluate outcomes.
• You’ll work alongside our physician team to assist with procedures and provide patient education.
• Our Outpatient Clinic team enjoys a great quality of life with weekday schedules only…no weekends or holidays.

Job Description

• The Pediatric RN works as part of the Outpatient Clinic team to provide care to patients across all of our service lines. We provide a collaborative multidisciplinary team approach in delivery of family patient centered care.
• In this position, you’ll be responsible and accountable for the care provided to patients in the clinic during each shift.
• You’ll utilize the nursing process to assess patients, plan care, interventions and evaluate outcomes.
• You’ll work alongside our physician team to assist with procedures and provide patient education.

Required Qualifications

• BSN degree or in progress
• RN in state of practice
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Preferred Qualifications

• 2 years’ experience in acute care nursing
• Bilingual English/Spanish
