Job summary

Shriners Children's St. Louis is seeking a full-time Night Shift Pediatric Registered Nurse for our Inpatient Unit. You will provide direct patient care for children with orthopedic conditions, ranging from mild to complex, in Med-Surg and ICU level nursing.

Qualifications

Job Description

Shriners Children's St. Louis has an opportunity for a full-time night shift Pediatric Registered Nurse in our Inpatient Unit. You will provide direct patient care for children with a variety of different orthopedic conditions ranging from mild to complex. This involves providing Med-Surg and ICU level of nursing care. Hours

This full-time nigh shift position works 72 hours bi-weekly and every 3rd weekend.

Key Responsibilities

The Inpatient RN is responsible for the coordination of nursing care, including direct patient care, patient/family education and transitions of care. The RN supports professional nursing practice across practice settings and across the continuum of care to meet the needs of the patient and family. This position will provide leadership by acting as an informal and formal leader, preceptor and through quality improvement efforts. Must have excellent communication skills and be skillful in mentoring and teaching.

Required Qualifications

BSN degree or in process Missouri RN License Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Preferred Qualifications

2+ years bedside RN experience (will consider new grads) Pediatric and ICU experience Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
