RWJBarnabas Health is seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join the System-Wide Float Pool. RNs will float across sites for about three months per assignment, gaining exposure to a broad scope of patient care and supporting teams at multiple facilities.

Requirements include a NJ RN license, BLS/ACLS, and at least 3 years OR experience; CNOR preferred. This is a full-time day position with enhanced float differentials.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing; Baccalaureate degree strongly preferred.
• Minimum 3 years OR experience; CNOR preferred.
• Current New Jersey RN license required; BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Excellent communication, leadership and collaboration; able to work in fast-paced environment.

• Provide age-appropriate professional care to patients in the OR float pool.

Registered Nurse (RN) – Operating Room – System Float Pool

Pay Range: $41.04 – $49.94 per hour

Pay Transparency: The above reflects the anticipated hourly wage range for this position if hired to work in New Jersey.

The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

System Wide Float Pool Registered Nurse (RN)

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking experienced RNs to join our System‑Wide Float Pool. In this role, RNs have the opportunity to gain exposure to a broad scope of patient care within their specialty area while working assignments at each of the sites throughout our system. The RNs support the team and the patients at each site for an average of three months per assignment. This is an opportunity to float throughout the entire RWJBH system.

Enhanced Float Differentials are offered.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing. Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing strongly preferred.
• Minimum of three (3) years of Operating Room experience in a hospital setting. CNOR preferred.
• Current New Jersey RN licensure required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Excellent communication, leadership and collaboration skills. Proven ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and demonstrated ability to be an effective role model to others.
• Flexibility and adaptability is essential in meeting System staffing needs as required.
• Travel required to various hospital‑based facilities within RWJBarnabas Health.
• Average site assignment is three (3) month (less or more). Assignment length will be based upon facility need.
• Successful completion of all Orientation Programs.

• Organizes and administers individualized age‑specific professional care to patients within an assigned unit of the hospital in support of medical care.
• Supports philosophy, objectives and the mission and vision of RWJBarnabas Health and the Department of Patient Care Services Practices in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act, American Nurses Association Standards of Practice, Code of Ethics for Nurses, Department of Health Regulations, JCAHO requirements and other regulatory agencies.
• Participates in patient teaching and discharge planning.
• Participates in unit Performance Improvement evaluation activities.
