Job summary

Frye Regional Medical Center is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) Operating Room Circulator to join a fast-paced OR team. The center operates 13 ORs and handles a wide variety of procedures, providing diverse perioperative experience alongside skilled surgeons and anesthesia staff.

The role requires NC RN licensure with BLS and ACLS/PALS within six months, plus 1–2 years of OR experience. This is a full-time daytime position with on-call requirements and a $20,000 commitment incentive

Qualifications

• Active North Carolina RN license (single-state) or compact required. Licensure must be updated before employment if relocating.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS required within six months of hire.
• One to two years of Operating Room RN experience required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs.
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions.
• Provides care appropriate to the condition and age of the patient.
• Performs timely and accurate documentation relating to medical necessity.
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
• Performs timely and accurate QI assessments.

The Operating Room team at Frye Regional Medical Center offers a fast-paced, collaborative environment where nurses play an essential role in delivering exceptional surgical care. With 13 operating rooms and approximately 15-30 cases performed daily, team members gain diverse procedural experience while working alongside skilled surgeons, anesthesia providers, and perioperative staff.

How you'll contribute

A Registered Nurse (RN)who excels in this role:

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs

What we're looking for

Applicants should have a current state RN license. Bachelor's degree preferred but not required. Additional requirements include:

• Active North Carolina RN license (single-state) or compact required. If relocating, licensure must be updated to the new Primary State of Residence (PSOR) before employment begins.
• Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire.
• One to Two years of Operating Room RN experience required.
