Job summary

Frye Regional Medical Center in North Carolina is seeking an RN to join the Surgical team on a 20-bed unit with 12-hour night shifts and every-other-weekend rotation. You will perform patient assessments, initiate nursing interventions, document medical necessity, and contribute to the Interdisciplinary Care Plan while delivering compassionate, high-quality care.

Applicants must hold an active NC RN license; BLS, ACLS, and PALS are required within defined timelines; one year of experience is

Qualifications

• Active North Carolina RN license (single-state) or compact.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS within six months of hire.
• One year of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs.
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions.
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient.
• Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record.
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
• Performs timely and accurate QI assessments.

How You'll Contribute

A Registered Nurse (RN) who excels in this role:

What We're Looking For

Applicants should have a current state RN license. Bachelor's degree preferred but not required. Additional requirements include:

• Active North Carolina RN license (single-state) or compact required. If relocating, licensure must be updated to the new Primary State of Residence (PSOR) before employment begins.
• Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire.
• One year of experience preferred
