Baptist Health System seeks an Registered Nurse to join a dedicated healthcare team in Texas. The RN will provide nursing care for a group of patients, matching needs with competencies, and complete required competencies within the introductory period.

Qualifications include a Texas RN license and preferred BSN, along with certifications such as BLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS. Sign-on bonuses may apply where offered.

Qualifications

Job Summary & Responsibilities

This position may qualify for a sign‑on bonus.

Under minimal supervision, provides nursing care for a group of patients assigned to the nurse based on matching the patients’ needs with the nurse’s competencies. Completes established competencies for the position within a designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree
• Minimum Experience: None (two years in acute care preferred)
• Preferred Experience: Two years in acute care; previous clinical nursing experience
• Required Certifications/License: Current Texas State License for Registered Nurse

Required Certifications & Courses

• Active healthcare provider Basic Life Support on hire (ARC or AHA); must achieve AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire.
• AHA ACLS within 60 days of hire or transfer into role (LABOR & DELIVERY).
• AHA NRP within 60 days of hire or transfer into role (LABOR & DELIVERY or any nurse floated into L&D); must complete before the end of the orientation period.
• Fetal Monitoring – L&D and Antepartum: Novice RNs required to complete GNOSIS introduction to Fetal Heart Monitoring within 30 days of hire or transfer; AWHONN Intermediate Heart Monitoring within 8 months of L&D orientation.
• Experienced L&D RNs (>1 yr experience) must have AWHONN Advanced Fetal Heart Monitoring on hire or within first 90 days.
• S.T.A.B.L.E. – Level 2 Nursery: Must provide proof of prior completion or obtain within 6 months of hire or transfer into unit (renewal not required).
• AHA PALS within 60 days of hire or transfer into role (PEDIATRICS).
