Job summary

Lifepoint Health is seeking a Medical Surgical (RN) for Valley View Regional Medical Center in a hospital setting. You will provide comprehensive nursing care, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and contribute to patient education and outcomes.

Qualified candidates will hold an RN license, an Associate's Degree in Nursing, and seek BLS within 30 days. BSN preferred, with ACLS/PALS and Handle with Care desirable, and prior experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Current state RN license.
• Associate's Degree from an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS, PALS, and Handle with Care preferred.
• One year of nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.
• Documents patient care and monitors patient condition, communicating with care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living (hygiene, elimination, nutrition, ambulation).
• Coordinates patient care across disciplines, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and support needs.
• Provides patient and family education appropriate to age, culture, and circumstances.
• Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.
• Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

What we're looking for

Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess an Associate's Degree from an accredited nursing school, BSN preferred. Additional requirements include:

Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.

BCLS required

ACLS, PALS, and Handle with Care preferred.

One year of experience preferred
