Job summary

Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital is seeking an Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Neuro ICU in Somerset, KY. The role offers a $15,000 commitment bonus for a two-year commitment and requires night shifts with full-time hours, including rotating weekends.

As part of Lifepoint Health, the RN will provide direct ICU care, document care, and collaborate with the care team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes. Relocation considerations may apply, and licensure must be updated as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in nursing required.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
• Current RN license in state of practice.
• Relocation: licensure must be updated to the new PSOR before employment begins.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care in the ICU using the nursing process.
• Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other nursing care activities.
• Documents patient care provided.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living (hygiene, elimination, nutrition, ambulation).
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care (transfers, discharges, referrals, psychosocial/spiritual needs).
• Advocates for the patient’s physical and emotional well-being.
• Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
• Provides quality patient care and supports flexible shifts or units as needed.
