Jefferson Regional Specialty Hospital is seeking an RN Nurse Manager to lead the Behavioral Health and Acute Rehab units. You will supervise daily operations, ensure high-quality patient care, and promote a collaborative, compliant environment in partnership with Lifepoint Health.

The role requires an Associate's degree (BSN preferred), current AHA BLS, and at least 2 years of leadership experience in behavioral health or acute care settings.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required; BSN preferred.
• Requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily department operations to align with goals and quality patient care initiatives.
• Direct and manage staff performance, development, and scheduling.
• Monitor budgets, contracts, and vendor relations within the department.
• Coordinate patient care with physicians, staff, and other departments to ensure safety and quality.

More About Our Team

Our 36-bed Behavioral Health Unit provides a comprehensive continuum of inpatient and outpatient behavioral health services. The Registered Nurse (RN) Nurse Manager is responsible for managing the daily operations of the department, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, regulatory standards, and quality patient care initiatives. This leader directs and oversees patient care delivery within the assigned scope, promoting a safe, therapeutic, and high-quality environment for patients experiencing acute behavioral health needs. In this role you will foster a collaborative, team-focused culture, promote communication, staff development, clinical excellence, and continuity of care while maintaining compliance with organizational policies and standards.

How You'll Contribute

• Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Assists with developing specific departmental goals, standards, and objectives which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization.
• Manages staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction, and conflict management.
• Performs and oversees scheduling, staff development, recruitment, payroll, and student engagements.
• Monitors departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, departmental contracts, and vendor relations.
• Determines and justifies needs for systems/equipment/ supplies purchases, monitors usage, and oversees proper working order and/or stock supplies.
• Assesses the quality of patient care delivered and coordinates patient care services with patients, staff, physicians, and other departments.
• May provide patient care when necessary.
• Creates and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth.
• Integrates evidence-based practices into operations and clinical protocols.

What We're Looking For

• Education: Associate's degree required. BSN preferred.

• Certifications: Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS)
