Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital - Akron is a critical illness recovery hospital dedicated to inpatient post-ICU care for chronically critically ill patients. Registered Nurses (RNs) play a central role in compassionate, high-quality treatment throughout admission, transfer, and ongoing care. The position is full-time in Akron, with shifts from 7 p.m.

to 7:30 a.m. and an hourly compensation range accompanied by a $10,000 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• Valid State RN License is required
• BLS certification required at hire
• ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire

Responsibilities

• Receive admissions and/or transfers to the unit
• Initial and ongoing systematic patient assessment
• Timely and accurate documentation using appropriate systems
• Interpret assessment/diagnostic data including labs and telemetry
• Ensure medical orders are transcribed and processed accurately
• Competence in Rapid Response and code events
• Instruct and counsel patients/families
• Performs other duties as assigned
