Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital in Akron, OH is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for full-time shifts from 7 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. The role offers competitive compensation of $36.72 to $48.44 per hour and a $10,000 sign-on bonus.

You will provide compassionate inpatient care for chronically critically ill patients, participate in orientation, pursue career development through scholarships and certifications, and benefit from PTO, health plans, a 401(k), and other support as part of a large dedicated team.

Qualifications

• Valid State RN License.
• BLS certification required at hire.
• ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Receive admissions and/or transfers to the unit.
• Conduct initial and ongoing systematic patient assessments.
• Document timely and accurately using appropriate systems.
• Interpret assessment/diagnostic data including labs and telemetry.
• Ensure medical orders are transcribed and processed accurately.
• Provide instruction and counseling to patients and families.
• Participate in rapid response and code events.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
