Job summary

Mercy Hospital in Ada, OK is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for full-time night shift in the behavioral health unit. You will use the nursing process to provide patient care, under supervision of licensed clinicians, and coordinate with physicians, social workers and therapists.

Responsibilities include assessing and planning care for psychiatric patients, monitoring progress, educating patients and families, ensuring safety with de-escalation and crisis interventions, and

Qualifications

• Graduated from a school of nursing (ASN, Diploma, or BSN).
• Active RN license in good standing.
• BLS certification (AHA) or within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

Registered Nurse (RN)- Full time- Night shift

Mercy hospital is seeking an experiencedbehavioral health nurse to join the team in Ada, OK. Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care under the supervision of person(s) licensed by a State regulatory board to prescribe medication and treatment, or under the direction of a Registered Professional Nurse (RN). Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care for psychiatric patients.
• Monitor and document patient progress, behaviors, and responses to interventions.
• Provide patient and family education to support understanding of treatment plans and recovery goals.
• Promote safety by implementing de-escalation strategies, crisis intervention, and adherence to safety protocols.
• Collaborate with physicians, social workers, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care.
• Oversee nursing staff

Physical Requirements

• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
