Job summary

Good Samaritan University Hospital in Long Island, NY, part of Catholic Health, seeks a NICU RN for a Level III unit. You will assess, monitor and administer meds, coordinating with an interdisciplinary team to optimize outcomes for premature or critically ill babies.

Requirements include 1+ year NICU RN experience, BSN or active BSN enrollment, NY RN license, BLS, NRP; PALS preferred. Benefits and growth opportunities are offered.

Job Details


Our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) RN's:


  • Assess, monitor, administer medication and manage overall care for premature and/or critically ill babies in a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)

  • Partner with an interdisciplinary team including, but not limited to, attending physicians, registered nurses (RN), and ancillary staff to optimize patient outcomes and satisfaction.

  • Advocate for and build meaningful relationships with patients' loved ones through safety intervention, emotional support and education.



What you'll bring:


  • Passion for Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)

  • 1+ years of Registered Nurse (RN) experience in the NICU, Level III preferred

  • Externship or Capstone in the NICU

  • Education: Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree

  • Will consider Associates Degree if enrolled in an accredited BSN program

  • Licensure: New York Registered Nurse (RN) License & Registration

  • Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) required, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred.



Salary Range

USD $59.61 - USD $77.49 /Hr.


This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
