Job summary

Good Samaritan University Hospital, part of Catholic Health, seeks a dedicated MICU RN to care for highly acute to critical patients. You will assess, monitor, medicate, document progress and partner with physicians, RNs and staff to optimize outcomes.

Requirements include a BSN (or enrolled in BSN program), 1+ year MICU/ICU experience, ability to read cardiac monitors, NY RN license, and BLS (CCRN preferred). Sign-on bonus eligibility applies.

Qualifications

Eligible for $7,500 sign on bonus, half paid at 6 months and the other half paid after one year of employment if experienced.

Job Details

Our MICU RN's

• Assess, monitor, administer medication, document progress, and manage overall care for highly acute and critical patients.
• Partner with an interdisciplinary team including, but not limited to, attending physicians, registered nurses (RN), and ancillary staff to optimize patient outcomes and satisfaction.
• Advocate for and build meaningful relationships with patients and their loved ones through safety intervention, emotional support and education.

What You'll Bring

• Passion for the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU)
• 1+ years of experience in the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) or another Critical Care Unit (SICU, ICU, CCU, CTICU, etc.)
• Experience reading cardiac monitors
• Education: Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree
• Will consider Associates Degree if enrolled in an accredited BSN program
• Licensure: New York Registered Nurse (RN) License & Registration
• Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) required , Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) preferred

Salary Range

USD $56.39 - USD $77.34 /Hr.
