Job summary

Tenet-AZ Region is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care in Glendale, AZ. This full-time night-shift position provides direct bedside nursing care to neonates in a Level III NICU, coordinating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure evidence-based, safe patient care.

The RN will assess, plan, and delegate with clinical leadership, participate in hourly rounds, and mentor other staff while upholding best practices and family-centered care.

Qualifications

• Experience: 1 year in hospital-based acute care RN in NICU.
• Education: Nursing degree from an accredited nursing school.
• Licenses/ Certifications: Current AZ RN license (or compact), CPR, NRP, ACLS as applicable.

The NICU Registered Nurse provides professional, compassionate nursing care to neonates within our Level III NICU. This role coordinates care planning with the multidisciplinary team and renders individualized, age-specific, and direct bedside nursing care based on the nursing process and patient needs. The RN systematically evaluates the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice to support optimal patient outcomes.Provide safe, evidence-based care to critically ill infants.Act as a clinical leader by assessing, planning, delegating, and using independent judgment to direct other healthcare team members.Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other disciplines to ensure coordinated patient care.Participate in hourly rounding and follow safety guidelines and best practices.Supervise and mentor other members of the healthcare team.

Minimum Requirements

• Experience: At least 1 year of current hospital-based acute care RN experience in a NICU.
• Education: Nursing degree from an accredited nursing school.
• Certifications: Current RN license in the State of Arizona (or compact license),CPRNRP (required upon orientation completion)ACLS as applicable by facility/department

Preferred Requirements

• Experience: At least 1 year of Level III NICU experience, including care of infants requiring conventional ventilators, HFOV, central lines, and therapeutic hypothermia.
• Education: BSN
• Certifications: Specialty certification a plus.
