Job summary

High Point Medical Center is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse to join the Cardiac Telemetry Unit. The RN will monitor cardiac rhythms, coordinate patient care, and deliver safe, evidence-based nursing within a 18-bed intermediate care setting.

This full-time position requires 3 twelve-hour night shifts per week (7pm–7am) with every other weekend rotation, offering a stable schedule and opportunities for professional growth within our care team.

Qualifications

  • Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program.
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state of practice.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification by the American Heart Association.
  • Less than 1 year of RN experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process.
  • Monitor patient cardiac rhythms and respond to changes in condition.
  • Adhere to established standards, policies, and procedures to ensure patient safety.

Pay Range: $38.20 - $57.30

Where You Will Work: The Cardiac Telemetry Unit at High Point Medical Center is an 18 bed intermediate care unit that provides care to patients with a cardiac focus. This unit is responsible for monitoring patient cardiac rhythms, and is comprised of cardiac population patients including; heart failure, post pacemaker insertion, post cardiac catheterization with intervention, post ablation, BiPAP, occasional tracheostomy, post-op carotid endarterectomy, and post-op CABG along with intermediate patients that are transferred out of the Medical and Cardiac ICUs.

We’re Looking For:
  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • Less than 1 year of RN experience
What You’ll Do:

As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
