110 High Point Regional Health's High Point Medical Center is seeking an experienced RN for the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU). The 36-hour work week includes a weekend program with 12-hour shifts from 7pm to 7:30am and eligibility for incentive pay.

You will provide comprehensive patient care, coordinate with a multidisciplinary team, and use advanced airway management and invasive monitoring as part of critical care delivery.

Qualifications

  • Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program.
  • RN license issued by the state of practice.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

  • As an RN in MICU, provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care using the nursing process, ensuring safety and quality.

Department: 34513 High Point Medical Center - Nursing Critical Care: MICU Status: Full time Benefits Eligible: Yes Hours Per Week: 36 Schedule Details/Additional Information: Weekend program - Minimum of 2 shifts Friday-Sunday Weekend program qualifies for incentive pay 3 12 hour shifts weekly 7pm-7:30am Pay Range: $38.20 - $57.30 Where You Will Work: The Medical Intensive Care Unit at High Point Medical Center is a 20 bed unit that provides exceptional care for patients who are critically ill. Nursing staff work alongside multiple providers and care teams, to implement a multi-disciplinary care team approach for patients and families. Skills and specialty equipment include advanced airway management, continuous renal replacement therapy, wound management, normothermia management, invasive hemodynamic monitoring, and titration of continuous infusion medication drips.

We’re Looking For:
  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • Greater than 1 year of RN experience (RNs with less than 1 year of RN experience, please apply to openings with “New Graduate RN” in the posting title.)
What You’ll Do:

As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
