Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Kentucky, seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) Neuro Medical Surgical to provide direct patient care using the nursing process, administer medications, and collaborate with the care team. The role requires an Associate's degree in nursing (Bachelor's preferred), an active KY RN license, BCLS, and commitment to performance improvement, attendance, and patient education.

Rotating weekends and full-time schedule.

• Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.
• Documents patient care and monitors patient condition, communicating with care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living, including hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Coordinates patient care across disciplines, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and support needs.
• Provides patient and family education appropriate to age, culture, and circumstances.
• Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.
• Participate in performance improvement and continuing education.
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

How You'll Contribute

• Patient Populations Served: Neonate, Infant, Early Childhood, Late Childhood, Adolescent, Young Adult, Middle Adult, Older Adult.
• Exposure: Regular occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens and hazardous materials.
• Physical Requirements: Frequent standing, walking, lifting/moving patients, and repetitive hand/arm movements

What We Are Looking For

Education: Associate's degree in nursing required; bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.

License: /Certificatio ns:

• Current RN license in state of practice.
• Active Kentucky license (single state or compact) required. If relocating, licensure must be updated to the new Primary State of Residence (PSOR) before employment begins.
• BCLS required; ACLS, PALS, and Handle with Care preferred.
