Job summary

Miami Valley Hospital’s Emergency and Trauma Center is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Department, Level I Trauma Center. The CN will manage a busy caseload and coordinate care with an interdisciplinary team during full-time night shifts (7pm–7:30am, 72 hours per pay).

Required is graduation from an accredited nursing program with Ohio RN license; 1 year acute care RN experience. BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
• Ohio RN license required; valid license to practice nursing in Ohio.
• 1 year of current acute care hospital RN experience required.
• Must be able to multitask with interruptions while maintaining professionalism.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and direct care delivered by the interdisciplinary team.
• Maintain high standards for a busy caseload in the Emergency Department.
• Provide physical, emotional, and spiritual support to patients and families.
• Ensure compliance with Ohio Nurse Practice Act and institutional policies.

The CN also coordinates/directs care delivered by the interdisciplinary team. The CN is accountable for compliance with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, applicable regulatory standards, and institutional policies and procedures.
