Job summary

Miami Valley Hospital in Ohio hires a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Heart & Vascular ICU. This full-time role runs 7am–7:30pm, 72 hours per pay, and includes a sign-on bonus.

The nurse coordinates care with a multidisciplinary team, maintains high clinical standards, and complies with regulatory requirements. Required are Ohio RN licensure and ICU/ED experience; BSN is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
• Valid Ohio RN license.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in a high-acuity Heart & Vascular ICU unit.
• Coordinate and direct care with the interdisciplinary team.
• Ensure compliance with Ohio Nurse Practice Act and institutional policies.
• Support physical, emotional and spiritual needs of patients and families.

The clinical nurse (CN) functions in a multi-faceted role that demonstrates professionalism and promotes excellence in the practice of Nursing. The CN is responsible for maintaining high standards for a caseload of patients as described by the scope of care for the area of practice and demonstrates appropriate actions based on sound scientific research and evidence-based principles. The CN also coordinates/directs care delivered by the interdisciplinary team. The CN is accountable for compliance with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, applicable regulatory standards, and institutional policies and procedures. The CN provides physical, emotional and spiritual support that directly/indirectly impacts the patient outcomes and care provided to patients/ families/ significant others.

Education: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
Licensure/Certification/Registration: Valid Ohio RN license
Experience: 1 year of current ICU or Emergency Dept RN experience is required.
Knowledge/Skills:

• Must be able to multitask with constant interruptions while maintaining a pleasant demeanor
