Sentara Obici Hospital in Suffolk, VA is seeking a Registered Nurse for the 2 South Acute Cardiac/Stroke Unit. This full-time day shift role includes a sign-on bonus up to $15,000 for qualified candidates and a rotating weekend schedule.

The 2 South unit provides high-acuity cardiac and neuro care, with 25 beds and a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio, and offers growth opportunities through its transition to a Cardiac PCU project and Magnet-designated excellence.

Qualifications

• Acute care nursing experience preferred.
• Stroke or telemetry experience preferred.
• BSN/MSN preferred; RN degree or diploma required.

Responsibilities

• Provide a competent level of nursing care on a cardiac/stroke unit.
• Follow nursing process and standards of practice.
• Collaborate with care team to manage high-acuity patients.

Sentara Obici Hospital is hiring a Registered Nurse for 2 South- Acute Cardiac/Stroke Unit. This is a Full Time , Day Shift position in Suffolk, VA.

Sign on Bonus up to $15,000 available for qualified candidates!

Hours: 7AM to 7PM with rotating weekend schedule.

The Acute Cardiac/Stroke Unit at Sentara Obici Hospital provides care for patients with cardiac conditions including heart failure, cardiac rhythm disturbances, newly implanted permanent pacemakers and defibrillators, post- coronary interventions, post-ablation, myocardial infarctions. 2 South also cares for pre/post catheterization, acute stroke, and post procedural neuro cases. This 25-bed unit sees a ratio of 1:6 with assistance of Patient Care Techs. The unit cares for patients with acuity higher than a typical medical-surgical unit. 2 South Acute Cardiac is also preparing for a transition to a Cardiac PCU step-down before year's end, making it an exciting opportunity for nurses seeking growth in a dynamic, high-acuity setting. Education

• Degree or Diploma from an accredited Registered Nursing Program

Certification/Licensure

• BLS within 90 days of hire.
• Critical Care/IMCU ACLS within 1 year of hire
